Manuscript preparation

Paper Structure and Detailed Formatting

The following instructions reflect Springer Nature proceedings author resources; any ISEM-specific differences communicated by the publisher will take precedence.

Recommended Research Structure

  1. Title and abstract: a precise, searchable title; clear purpose, methods, principal findings and contribution; an informative, concise abstract.
  2. Keywords: three to six substantive subject phrases reflecting algorithms, systems and application domain.
  3. Introduction: problem definition, motivation, research gap, original contributions and paper organization.
  4. Related work: a critical, balanced review of up-to-date methods and an explicit positioning of the proposed research.
  5. Methodology: formal model, datasets, architectures, algorithms, procedures or system implementation with enough detail to assess reproducibility.
  6. Experiments and results: comparison methods, evaluation measures, parameter settings, tables/figures and meaningful validation, including limitations.
  7. Conclusions: main findings, implications, limitations and feasible future research directions.
  8. Statements and references: research ethics, data/material availability when appropriate, acknowledgements and complete cited references with DOI where available.

Springer-Style Formatting Guide

ElementPreparation guidance
DocumentUse Springer-provided proceedings styles; maintain consistent page geometry, typography, line spacing and margins.
Title and headingsCenter the title; use clear hierarchical, numbered headings and consistent capitalization. Do not insert manual formatting to compress content.
Author informationSupply finalized author names and affiliations separately for anonymous review; provide the complete, correct author metadata for final production.
Paper lengthIndicative planning: full papers commonly 12–15 pages; short papers approximately 6–11 pages in Springer Computer Science proceedings. ICIDECS/ISEM lengths remain subject to editorial confirmation.
TablesNumber consecutively; place captions above each table; use editable table objects and cite each table within the text.
FiguresNumber consecutively; place captions below figures; ensure legible labels, sufficient resolution, accessible alt text and permissions for reused materials.
EquationsUse editable equation tools or LaTeX math; number displayed equations consecutively and explain all key notation.
CitationsUse the reference/citation style built into the proceedings template, with complete bibliographic metadata and DOI links when available.
Final filesSubmit PDF and the complete editable source: DOCX, or TeX plus bibliography, figures, class/style files and required assets.
Important: These are Springer Nature proceedings preparation references, not confirmation of a final ISEM template contract. The publishing editor's written requirements will govern accepted papers.
Quality and ethics

Peer Review and Publication Conditions

Independent evaluation

Initial scope and quality screening precedes double-blind technical assessment. The conference plans at least three independent reviews per eligible paper, with reviewer conflicts managed.

Originality and integrity

Duplicate publication, plagiarism, fabricated results, undisclosed conflicts and misleading citation practices are prohibited. The similarity report is assessed as evidence, not as an automatic percentage cutoff.

Final publication

Acceptance to present at ICIDECS does not guarantee inclusion in a Springer volume. All publication decisions remain subject to formal series acceptance and publisher production policies.
